Jonathan Field is a professional furniture designer and maker with over two decades of experience designing and hand-crafting bespoke furniture for residential and commercial clients across London.
Jonathan's approach combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design principles, resulting in furniture that is elegant, functional and built to last. Working from his studio in East London, he creates unique and limited edition pieces that balance simplicity of line with the natural beauty of carefully selected timber.
His focus is to create a balance between elegance and functionality, with a simplicity of line, form and materials, making pieces that give both visual and tactile pleasure.

Tables as the Heart of the Home
Jonathan has a particular passion for creating dining tables, viewing them as a symbol of meeting and coming together. The dining table is often the centrepiece of family life — where meals are shared, conversations flow, and memories are made.
Drawing inspiration from the patterns, shapes and textures found in nature, each table is designed to be as unique as the timber from which it is made.

Initial Consultation
Every project begins with a conversation — understanding how a piece will be used, the space it will live in, and your vision for the finished furniture.
Design & Material Selection
Jonathan develops concepts and selects appropriate timber, often beginning with the wood itself — choosing pieces with unique character, grain patterns, and provenance.
Handcrafting in the Workshop
Each piece is meticulously crafted by hand in our East London workshop, using traditional joinery techniques and contemporary design sensibilities.
Finishing & Quality Control
Careful finishing brings out the natural beauty of the wood, followed by thorough quality checks to ensure every detail meets our exacting standards.
Delivery & Installation
We personally oversee delivery and installation, ensuring your furniture arrives safely and is positioned perfectly in its new home.
